Hey everyone,

Well, here we are, the first weekend of the season is here and the team and I are super excited to get underway against Telford tomorrow.

Kicking things off against the back-to-back league champions will be a tough start but we’re feeling good going into the weekend.

Getting the Yorkshire cup in the bag was the first target of the season, we can now tick that off and look at making a good start in the league campaign.

The boys are beginning to get familiar with their linemates and we did have a good pre-season. On an individual note, I’m also delighted for Harrison to get some minutes and a win under his belt from last week.

We’ve made Kieran our captain for this year, and I think that will bring a different side of his game out. We know how talented and important he is to our team but in the locker-room he’s a leader and he loves playing hockey in Leeds.

After the Telford game we will make the long trip to Romford to take on the Raiders.

Keep making ‘The Castle’ the fortress we’ll need it to be!
