Cole Shudra to remain with the Knights until 2025!

The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are overjoyed to announce that Cole Shudra has committed his future to the team by putting pen to paper on a two-year contract extension to remain in Leeds until at least 2025.

The 24-year-old forward has been lighting up the scoring charts so far this season with 45 goals and 55 assists through just 50 games this year.

Cole’s career thus far has seen him ice in the EPL with Sheffield in the EIHL with the Steelers and the MK Lightning.

This year has been a career year for Cole, as he became just the 3rd player of the year to smash through the 100 points barrier in our win against the Bees last week. Not only has Cole put the points on the board, but he’s been a massive contributor throughout all areas of the ice.

Cole has proven he can do it all, whether that’s scoring on the powerplay, blocking shots on the penalty kill or everything in between and despite his age, his experience has been massively important this season.

Speaking after putting pen to paper Cole said:

It was a no brainer to sign back again, we have the best support in the league from the fans, the organisation is so professional from top to bottom  and we are building something very special here in Leeds and I am so excited to be a part of it going forward!

Meanwhile Head Coach Ryan Aldridge is equally as delighted to secure such a key piece of his roster for the immediate future.

Since I came in, Cole has been one of key players on the team and I’ve made it no secret how highly I rate him as a player and as a professional. At times I think he’s been underrated and having a guy like Cole commit to the team is a big statement for the future of this club!”

Cole now joins Sam Gospel, Kieran Brown and Josh Hodgkinson on the roster for next season.
