Everything You Need to Know VS Hull Seahawks TONIGHT
MINI MATCH PREVIEW
It’s our final Yorkshire derby of the 2022-2023 season, and we get to host the Hull Seahawks in what will be out 8th game of the season against the side!
In all 7 previous games, we have bested the newest team to enter the league, with tonight’s visitors never scoring more than 2 goals against us. However, the Hull Seahawks should be visiting us at full strength, excluding #26 Matty Davies, after hanging up his skates the last time we faced-off against each other.
Despite beating the visitors 7/7 times, they cannot be counted out, they are a strong team throughout their ranks, with some elite goaltending in the form of Jordan McLaughlin, solid D-men in the form of Declan Balmer as an example and some serious fire power with their import duo of Emil Svec, Andrej Themar and Nathan Salem.
It’s always a feisty one when these two face-off, so make sure you get your tickets and join us at the game! Get your tickets here!
ONES TO WATCH
The One to Watch for Hull Seahawks is: #94 Declan Balmer
Balmer is on the ice for almost 30 minutes of the night, and is the biggest mainstay in the Hull Seahawks line-up. Declan has scored 5 times and put up 21 assists in 47 games, making him the 5th highest scorer of the team, led only by Hull’s import duo, Nathan Salem and captain, Sam Towner.
Declan is as defensively sound as they come, and with his major ice time, it won’t be hard to keep your eye on him at tonight’s game!
The Morley Glass Leeds Knights ones to watch this week is… #95 Mac Howlett.
In just 22 games, Mac Howlett has came into the league and into the line-up and made a massive splash! With 16 goals and 29 assists, Mac boasts an impressive points per game of 2.05, which is well within the top 10 in the league!
Mac had one of his best weekends, and games, as a Knight last week, with a first period hat-trick on a 4-goal night against the 3rd place Peterborough Phantoms for a 6-point weekend! There’s no doubt that Howlett will be looking to continue this impressive form in a busy 3-game weekend, and it all starts tonight!
POST-GAME PLAYER SIGNINGS:
Unfortunately there will be no post-game signings tonight, due to the later face-off of 7:30pm, but signings will resume at next Saturday’s home game against the Swindon Wildcats!
