Investing in Leeds’ future ice hockey talent
Morley Glass, title sponsors of the Leeds Knights, have stepped forward to support the development of two ice hockey prospects for the future, with new player sponsorship deals for Finn Bradon and Tommy Spraggon until the end of the season.
Forward, Bradon, and defenceman, Spraggon, joined the Morley Glass Leeds Knights on two-way deals after impressing at trials held in the summer. As the season has progressed, both players have shown significant improvements in their game, and each has gained more ice time in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division.
Ian Short, Managing Director at Morley Glass, said:
“It’s been a fantastic journey to be involved with the Leeds Knights from the start. They have gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years. All our staff and guests that go to the games have an incredible family evening of entertainment. The partnership we have works throughout the year and not just at renewal time – GO KNIGHTS!”
Throughout the relationship with Morley Glass, the conversation has frequently focussed on how to support local talent and this deal for Finley and Tommy epitomises the commitment of Ian and the team.
Managing Director of the Leeds Knights, Warwick Andrews, said:
“The sponsorship from Ian and the team at Morley Glass is not unexpected, as supporting local talent has always been a topic that we discuss. Yet this support to two of our future prospects shows the genuine commitment that Ian brings to our relationship. We are grateful to have such a positive relationship with everyone at Morley Glass and hope we continue to provide the excitement and success on the ice that the players are delivering so far this season.”
We know we have a number of avid fans from Morley Glass who come week in, week out to ‘The Castle’. Supporting our ‘development’ players is one more feature of our partnership that makes us so proud to be associated with Morley Glass.
