Leeds Knights are delighted to announce we will be working in partnership with Yorkshire Mesmac for EIHA pride week. Pride Week will run from 7th to 16th January 2022 and is for clubs to show that hockey is a sport for all and a rink is a safe space for everyone. We invite all our fans to join us in celebrating Pride Week and showing support for the LGBTQIA+ community!

Mesmac will be attending our Pride game on 16^th January against Basingstoke Bison. This will be a great opportunity for our fans to donate or have a chat with the Yorkshire Mesmac team. We will also be selling Pride pucks at the merchandise stand, with a portion of the profits to be donated to Yorkshire Mesmac.

A spokesperson from Yorkshire Mesmac said “We’re thrilled and extremely grateful that the Leeds Knights have chosen to support Yorkshire MESMAC for their first Pride event. We will be at the event on Sunday 16th Jan rooting for the team and showing our support for Hockey Pride. Please come and down and have a chat with our dedicated volunteers who will be offering information and resources about the crucial work we do in the local LGBTQ+ community.”

Yorkshire MESMAC is one of the oldest and largest sexual health organisations in the country. We offer services to various communities across Yorkshire, including men who have sex with men, people of colour and other marginalised races, people misusing drugs, sex workers and LGBT+ young people and adults.
