Introducing, to the Morley Glass Leeds Knights, NEW import for the 24/25 season… #73 Matt Bissonnette!

Matt joins us with 5 seasons of NIHL Experience where he has scored over 250 points during his time in the league, in addition to that, Matt has over 100 EIHL games under his belt, 3 years in the Ligue Magnus of France and an impressive junior career in the QMJHL where he played 266 games and put up 239 points!

Matt joins us off the back of another impressive season with our Yorkshire Rivals, managing to score 26 goals and 38 assists on a struggling Sheffield Steeldogs outfit – finishing the season as their highest scoring player by 12 points. His resume speaks volumes and he’s proven he can perform at an elite level in the NIHL, often regarded as one of the best imports in the league and we’re pleased to have him on board for the 24/25 seson.

We spoke to Matt earlier this week and he had nothing but good things to say ahead of joining the team this September - “I’m beyond excited to join the Knights. It was a no-brainer to jump on an opportunity to play with this group of guys and in front of the loudest fans in the league. I can’t wait to put on the jersey in September and call the Castle my home!”

Head Coach Ryan Aldridge had this to say on our latest signing – “I was looking for a guy to help improve our PP and have an older voice in the room, a guy that can play in a certain spot on our team and I think Matt fills all these areas. After talking to him I knew he would be the right fit for us. I know he is excited to join the Knights and I'm looking forward to see him play with our group."
