The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are proud to announce a new partnership with the Army Reserve’s 217 Transport Squadron, based at Churchill Barracks in Leeds. The partnership will see both organisations work together to strengthen links with the local community while highlighting the wide range of opportunities, skills and experiences available through the Army Reserve.
As part of the new partnership, members of the Reserves will be at the Leeds Knights game this Saturday, giving supporters the opportunity to meet members of the Army Reserve and find out more about what they do.
LCPL Ricky Duncan RLC said: "We are thrilled to partner with the Leeds Knights. The Army Reserve is built around people, teamwork and a commitment to supporting our communities, so there is a natural connection with the values of the Knights. This partnership provides an exciting opportunity for us to engage with the local community and build relationships through the shared passion of sport."
Verity Thomas, Partnership Manager at the Knights said: "We are delighted to welcome the 217 Transport Squadron to the Leeds Knights family. Community partnerships like this are hugely important to us as a club and we look forward to working closely with Ricky and the team throughout the season”.
