The Morley Glass Leeds Knights can confirm the return of #95 Mac Howlett, for not one, but two seasons!

Mac joined us late in the 22/23 season, lightning a spark and quickly gelling within the team at just under a 2-point per game pace, helping us to our League and Playoff double that season.

In 23/24 we got to see Mac at The Castle from September, having secured his services in the summer he was set to head back to Leeds, and he once again shone bright, finishing 3rd in Points Scored on the team and 2nd in goals as he helped lead us to silverware once again, in the form of our second league title. And now… we get to have him remain with us for two more seasons!

Securing Mac for the future was something high on the list of Head Coach Ryan Aldridge, who had this to say on today’s returnee – ““Its Huge for us to keep a player like Mac around for the next two seasons. Mac was massive for us over the last 10/12 weeks of the season and at times was un-stoppable. Mac has settled into life in Leeds both on and off the ice and I for one love to see how content he is here. He is a big part of our groupand I am glad to have him around a little longer.”

Mac, who has played exactly 100 games with the club, has scored on 70 occasions and grabbed 92 assists for a grand total of 162 points, his speed, determination and this year a huge component in our Special Teams, is something we’re ecstatic to have the pleasure of watching until the end of the 25/26 season.

On his return, Mac was just as excited to be back - "I'm really excited to be back with Leeds for the next 2 years. The players, staff and supporters have been amazing during my time with the club, I've really enjoyed my hockey and life in Leeds and I'm looking forward to being back in September!"

You too can join Mac, Oli, Finn, Sam and Kieran at The Castle this September, by purchasing your season ticket, here!
