What a fantastic evening last night! Hosted by our partners Dakota Leeds, the players and staff were able to meet with sponsors and a variety of businesses at our first ‘A Night with the Knights’!
The evening began with some ‘on-the-ice’ insights from Head Coach, Ryan Aldridge and Captain Kieran Brown #12, sharing their thoughts on the season so far and a ‘week in the life’ of an ice hockey player in Leeds. Guests were also able to hear from our Team Owner, Steve Nell, who reflected on how the club has grown from ‘business start-up’ in April 2021, post-Covid, to National Division Champions, a growing fanbase that is reaching capacity, and, an ever-increasing network of sponsors and partners to work with for the future.
“Such a fantastic evening and a brilliant way to engage with the sponsors, management and players.”
The highlight of the night was a Q&A with our ‘Guest Panel’ - Chris MacMillan from our Title Sponsors Morley Glass, and Manni Singh from Bobble Digital and Jamie Ashpole from JJA Pack - two of our Team Sponsors.
Chris shared how impactful their relationship with the Knights has been for the Morley Glass workforce and being able to give opportunities for their 100+ team to bring their family and friends to Leeds Knights games. Manni described how our partnership helps Bobble Digital differentiate themselves from other businesses in Leeds, developing success together, and how we can grow our partnership into next season. Jamie outlined how JJA Pack is diversifying its business and the positive relationship with the Knights - including the making of our own chocolate bars - assists their growth into new fields in manufacturing and developing skills with school children.
We would like to express our thanks to all our guests who were able to join us, including a ‘virtual’ message, Oscars-style, from Ian Short, Managing Director of Morley Glass, plus our partners Dakota Leeds and our amazing support team - Martin Titley (DJ and Sound Engineer) plus Jacob Lowe for our photography - who made the evening go smoothly.
Thank you!
