We are days away from the start of the league season with all our full-time contracted players sponsored - which we are delighted about. We are extremely grateful for this support from the business community in and around Leeds and we have seen a number of player sponsors from last year return and retain their favourite player:

MJ Sports stay with ‘League MVP’ and Captain Keiran Brown

Weetwood Hall have ‘housed’, once again, Matt Haywood

Crescent Business Support retain fan-favourite Oli Endicott

Austhorpe Signs continue to support Lewis Baldwin on ‘D’

Nantwich Collectables keep it a family-affair with Jordan Griffin

Morley Glass have again invested in future-talent Finn Bradon

Jessop Motor Bodies have locked-in with Sam Gospel, and

AutoPfect (Leeds) have backed, once again, Harrison Walker.

With the introduction of three imports this year, we have seen new player sponsors for Josh Adkins in Ashfield Project Services and returning from last year, Consultants Like Us, the cyber security specialists, have selected Matt Barron as their new sponsored player. On ‘D’, Noah McMullin joined the Knights in the summer and in a swift ‘move’, was picked-up by PARKDesigned Architects. Also joining our ‘team’ of new player sponsors are Bailie Group who jumped at the chance to pick-up points-machine Mac Howlett.

Rounding off the squad and doubling-up on the Hehir brothers, Totally Tennis have taken Ethan and Dylan on this year - a great tandem - and Ronin Goju Karate moved early in the summer to secure Bailey Perre as their player for the year. Most recently, Blinds 2000 reached out to take-on veteran forward James Archer and DS Motors snapped up teenage talent Gregor Mills for their first year of player sponsorship.

Warwick Andrews, Managing Director of Leeds Knights, said:

“I really enjoy securing player sponsors as they are a valuable connection between the Knights fans and local business. It’s a great way to support the team and be associated with one of the players for the whole season, as well as gaining increased brand visibility with a diverse audience.”

Player sponsors have their business branding on their chosen player’s jerseys, and get to keep a jersey, plus branding and a weblink on the player’s website profile. On Match Night, all our player sponsors are a feature of the game with “Shout-Outs!” and graphics on our Big Screens with the added bonus of some player interaction throughout the season.

As a club, we are delighted to be able to connect businesses in and around Leeds with our players, and to create a unique relationship with the team. We are proud of what we are creating with ‘Ice Hockey in Leeds’ and the long-term support of the business community is very much appreciated.
