What a wonderful evening to celebrate the start of our 2023-24 Planet Ice National Division season!
It was our pleasure to welcome our sponsors and partners to the unique venue of Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Leeds to share insights into the upcoming season.
Guests heard from our Head Coach, Ryan Aldridge, who reflected on the post-2022-23 season recruitment and building on the success of last year’s outstanding championship-winning season.
Our Captain, Kieran Brown, shared how he has developed in his role as Captain and also his recent selection for Team GB, plus, we heard from our new import defenceman, Noah McMullin, and his experiences of ‘Leeds-life’ so far in his first professional season of hockey overseas.
Following this ‘first line’, Knights stalwart, Jordan Griffin and fellow defenceman Louis Colvin joined our new import forwards, Matt Barron and Josh Adkins, to share stories about our Playoff-winning title in Coventry last season, to moving to Leeds for their first experiences of the National Division and ice hockey in the UK.
We rounded up the formal proceedings with an introduction by Kirsty Christmas to Day One Trauma Support before some wonderful asian food platters and finally, the lucky draw winner, of a driving experience courtesy of Vertu - won by Manpreet Singh of Team Sponsors Bobble Digital.
