The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are excited to announce the signings of Evan Bradon, Frank O’Sullivan and Josh Hartley on two-way contracts with the Knights and Leeds Knights 2 for the 2026/27 season, further strengthening the commitment to developing young talent.
The trio are all products of the Leeds player pathway and have already gained valuable senior experience, with each player making their Knights debut during the 2025/26 campaign. Their progression highlights the continued opportunities available to young players within the organisation as they look to establish themselves at senior level.
Evan Bradon
At just 16 years old, Evan Bradon is already making his mark in senior hockey and becomes the latest member of the Bradon family to pull on the Knights jersey, following in the footsteps of his older brother Finn.
A member of the Junior Knights since the club's formation, Bradon has been part of four national championship-winning teams and has continued to progress through the Leeds development system.
The forward brings plenty of size and strength to the lineup and can operate either down the middle or on the wing. His performances last season earned him selection for the Great Britain Under-16 Futures programme, further recognition of his potential.
Bradon made his Leeds Knights 2 debut shortly after his 16th birthday before being called into the Knights' senior squad during the play-offs. He gained valuable experience during the Knights' championship-winning run and finishing the campaign with a play-off winner's medal.
Now entering his first full season on a two-way contract, Bradon will look to continue his development while gaining further experience at senior level.
Bradon reflected on his two-way signing saying: “I’m really grateful to continue my hockey journey in Leeds with the Knights and Knights II – it’s such a great organisation that really values it’s junior players and I’m really excited for what this season has to bring.”
Josh Hartley
Josh Hartley has also progressed through the Leeds ranks, having joined the Junior Knights at the club's inception.
The 17-year-old forward has already represented Great Britain at Under-16 level and was handed his first taste of Knights senior hockey late last season and was part of the squad that lifted the NIHL National Play-off Championship in Coventry.
A smooth-skating, skilful and technically gifted forward, Hartley brings speed and creativity to the attack. Hartley's 25/26 season included experience on both sides of the Atlantic. He started the campaign in Canada with Epic Hockey Academy before returning to Leeds, where he finished the season with the Junior Knights.
With senior hockey experience now under his belt, Hartley will continue to develop his game across both the Knights and Knights 2 this season.
Hartley said: “I’m beyond excited to be on a two-way with the Knights and Knights 2. They value hard work and give their young players a chance to prove themselves. This is a fantastic way for me to develop my game and I’m very excited to see what the season has in store.”
Frank O'Sullivan
Frank O'Sullivan enters the 2026/27 season having already written his name into the Leeds Knights record books.
He is the youngest goalscorer in the history of both the Leeds Knights and Knights 2, and made his senior debut at just 15 years old. He quickly showed that he could compete at the higher level and impressed during his first full season with the Knights 2, scoring 16 goals in 28 games and finishing the season as the team’s leading scorer.
O'Sullivan holds the distinction of being the youngest goalscorer in the history of both the Leeds Knights and Knights 2, having made his senior debut at just 15 years old. He also made 10 appearances for the Knights senior team, contributing one goal and two assists.
The power forward combines a strong physical presence with a dangerous shot, but his breakthrough campaign was unfortunately cut short when he suffered a shoulder injury during the play-offs that also prevented him from joining up with the Great Britain Under-18s.
O’Sullivan commented: “I’m very excited for the opportunity to be joining the Knights this season. I was amazed and humbled by the supporters last year and can’t wait to be part of this special team of winners. Ryan has been a great mentor over the past season and the experience within the locker room influences me to improve every time I hit the ice.”
With his recovery continuing, O'Sullivan will be looking to return to the ice and build on an impressive breakthrough season as he continues his development within the Knights organisation.
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge said: “It’s great to have Ev, Frankie and Josh on two-ways with us. Like all our other young guys, they all bring something different and have different skill sets, but they all have so much potential. They got thrown in late last year and just fitted in. They have worked hard on our summer ice and I am looking forward to working with them over the next eight months.”
The progression of Bradon, Hartley and O'Sullivan is another positive sign for the Leeds Knights' player pathway, with all three players having come through the club's junior system before making the step up to senior hockey.
Their two-way contracts will provide the trio with the opportunity to continue developing with Knights 2 while gaining valuable experience with the senior Knights throughout the 2026/27 campaign.
With all three already having tasted senior hockey, the new campaign represents another important step in their development as they look to establish themselves at senior level.
