The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are ecstatic to be able to announce the arrival of Bowdyn Neely to bolster our defensive ranks for the 23-24 season!
Bow joins us after a season in the USPHL Premier and NCDC with the South Shore Kings as well as spending some time in Austria in the 2021-22 season with Okanagan HC Europe U20s. This is Bow’s second stint of hockey in the UK, after our very own Head Coach Ryan Aldridge brought from Canada to England to play for the OHA UK U18s.
During his time with OHA, Bow played with some familiar faces, icing in 2 seasons alongside Oli Endicott and Bailey Perre. Bow picked up an impressive 4 goals and 16 assists, just two less points than Oli, Bow also became captain for the 20/21 season before his move to Europe.
On Bow’s arrival, Head Coach Ryan Aldridge said – “Bow is a fantastic defenceman that offers us more depth, offence and a lot more to our team. He’s hard-working, dedicated and shares the core values that we’re trying to build here in Leeds and I’m incredibly pleased to have him on board with us.”
Bow arrived in Leeds just yesterday and will be making his debut as a Leeds Knight this weekend, with his home debut being Sunday night at The Castle, we spoke to Bow about his recent arrival – “I’m super excited to be here, I think it will be a great year and I can’t wait to get started this weekend!”
