My project-8

The Leeds Knights set to raise funds for Ukraine this Sunday!

The Leeds Knights are proud to be part of a league with so many teams supporting and showing solidarity with Ukraine. The world of sport has come together, and we wanted to also help fundraise, so that’s what we’ll be doing this Sunday.

We will be donating all profits of this week’s 50/50 to the Ukrainian Humanitarian appeal to benefit those affected by the ongoing situation in Ukraine. More information about the charity can be found here. Donations will help to provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.

That means that 50% of the money will go to the winner, and the remaining 50% that would usually go to the club, will be donated to the charity above. It also means that the more 50/50 tickets you buy, not only the bigger the prize, but the bigger the donation will be.

We have also chosen to change our profile pictures on our social media outlets to have a Ukrainian flag in the background, to show solidarity with Ukraine where possible. We will also continue to play the Ukrainian national anthem before God Save The Queen to further show we stand in solidarity with Ukraine.

We hope our fans will come together on Sunday night to raise money for Ukraine as they go through devastating circumstances.
