GAME DAY GUIDE

Welcome to Leeds Knights Match Night.

Doors open one hour before face-off, giving you time to find your seats, explore the arena, and watch the team warm up on the ice.

During this time, you can visit the Leeds Knights merchandise stand, take part in match night activities, and make the most of the facilities available. Whether you are a regular supporter or attending your first game, there is plenty to see and do before play begins.

If you are celebrating a birthday, special occasion, or would like to recognise someone, we can arrange a match night shoutout to have your message displayed during the game. Please email emily.laycock@leedsknights.com to organise this.

After the final buzzer, supporters are invited to stay for the post-game player signing session in the cafe bar. This is an opportunity to meet selected Leeds Knights players, collect autographs, and take photos.

GAME NIGHT SCHEDULE

An ice hockey game is played over three 20-minute periods, separated by two 15- minute intermissions. Every time play stops, the clock stops. Please be seated whilst the puck is in play and keep your eye on the puck at all times because it can come out of play. 40-minutes before the face-off time, the players come out for a 20-minute on-ice warm-up. The players are introduced to the ice just before face-off with both teams standing on the blue line for the National Anthem which takes place just before puck drop.

The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team before the end of regulation time. If the scores are level after 60 minutes, the game moves into a five-minute overtime period played with three skaters per team, creating more open ice and increased scoring opportunities.

If neither team scores during overtime, the game is decided by a penalty shootout. Ice hockey games cannot end in a tie - every game has a winner.

We conclude the game with the Man of the Match presentation and match night sponsor photos before the players leave the ice.

Post-game signings take place in the bar after weekend games. This is your opportunity to meet your favourite player, take a photo with them and get your jerseys signed.
