Our first home game of the pre-season is less than 1 month away and the 2023-24 Planet Ice NIHL National Division will be here before we know it!
Last week we released our fixtures list, our pre-season games are marked in the calendar and we are thrilled to be confirming one last event…
Our 2023 Season Launch Day will take place at Planet Ice Leeds on Sunday 3rd September! The event is set to kick off at 2pm outside Planet Ice and in the Planet Ice Bar with our Official Leeds Knights Supporters Club having some exciting things in store, with more details to follow on this in the coming weeks – so keep your eyes peeled!
The Season Launch is the first event of the season where fans will be able to see the players on the ice, in our new jerseys as well as a chance to meet and mingle with the team in the Planet Ice Bar afterwards.
Managing Director Warwick Andrews said:
“It’s been a busy off-season, and one that has seen us ‘grow’ off-the-ice too. I’m excited to welcome aboard the new faces that have joined the team, as well as our sponsors and partners for the 2023-24 season. We’re delighted to be welcoming everyone, and especially the best fans in the league, back to The Castle once again!”
Doors will open for the on-ice event at 4pm, with the players hitting the ice at 4:30pm, for an open training session which will end with a short 3on3 game!
Once the doors open, fans will be able to see the team on-ice for the very first time, in our all new jerseys! Following the open training session, you will have the opportunity to meet the team in the Bar, whether that’s to catch up with a returning favourite or to snap a selfie with a new signing.
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge said:
“Preparations for this season are almost over, and I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our hard work and dedication in person and on the ice back at The Castle. It’s going to be hard to top last season, but I’ve got a lot of belief in the team and our fans. There’s something special here in Leeds and I can’t wait to get underway next month!”
Tickets for this event are free and it will be unallocated seating, you can get your tickets here – and we’ll see you on September 3rd!
