The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are ecstatic to announce the retention of #8 Bow Neely on a THREE-YEAR DEAL!

The 20-year-old defenseman of the year will remain a Leeds Knight until at least the end of the 26/27 season, as this new deal locks the Canadian-born, British defenseman up. Bow can do it all, finishing the season as our highest scoring defenseman, as well as the least penalised player on the team!*

From his arrival, Bow slotted right into the line-up and we never looked back, as he iced in every regular season game in the 23/24 season, where we once again hoisted the league trophy. He logged some huge minutes whether that was on the Penalty Kill, Powerplay or as a top-pairing d-man, he was integral in our success and having him back is sure to please the fans that will be at The Castle, but it has definitely pleased Head Coach Ryan Aldridge.

Head Coach Ryan Aldridge had some strong words on the importance of Bow in the 23/24 season, as well as how important it is to have him locked up for 3 more seasons!: “Bow came in late at the end of the Summer and was instantly relied on for the 23/24 season. You can look back and analyse so much after winning a championship but everytime I do, I wonder how different things may/would have been if Bow didn't pick up the phone. To have him back for 3 years is huge for this organisation. When I first talked to Bow about returning, we knew school would be a massive factor in his decision to continue being a Knight or returning to North America - he made it clear we would be his first choice if Uni worked out and I am beyond ecstatic that it has.”

We caught up with Bow too - "I'm really excited to re-sign with the Knights, I'm looking forward to building on last season and getting back on the ice with some great players in front of some amazing fans!"

We’ve started June with a bang, but things aren’t over yet, keep your eyes peeled and your notifications on with huge signing news still to come!
