The Boy is Back in Town, he’s Shipping up from Boston, welcome back to the Leeds Knights … #91 Jake Witkowski!
The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are absolutely ecstatic to be welcoming back Jake to The Castle!
Jake joined us at a similar point last season and we get to bring him back to wear the blue and yellow once again this year! Last season, he marked his debut with 2 assists against the Hull Seahawks on the 18thJanuary, quickly demonstrating his Hockey IQ and skill as he showed us all season long from that point onwards. Through 24 league games in 2023, Jake scored on 16 occasions and assisted 30 times, as he helped us become League Champions! ‘Wit’ also had a phenomenal playoff campaign, coming up clutch with 3 goals and 10 assists in a 4-game span, to help us end the 2022-23 season on another massive high and to lift the Playoff Trophy!
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge was thrilled to have been able to pull off this move when we caught up with him earlier this week – “Bringing Wit back is just what we all need, he is a great young man that fits right with our group. He will add to our offence and our special teams. He is excited to be back, The boys and I are excited to have him back and I know his linemates can’t wait for him to get here. We got the deal done in one very quick conversation as both parties wanted this to work.
Jake arrived in Leeds yesterday and is set to make his debut tomorrow night in Dumfries, before he has his homecoming at The Castle against the Bristol Pitbulls, THIS SUNDAY! Get your tickets here!
Jake will be sponsored by Ashfield Project Services for the remainder of the season.
