/Biography

Matt joins us having iced in 43 games in the ECHL in the 22-23 season, immediately after his 22 game stint in the SPHL with the Evansville Thunderbolts. In his 65 games across the season, Barron put the puck in the net on 15 occasions, while adding 15 assists as well, with 8 goals and 6 assists coming in his games in the Coast.

Like Noah, Matt spent several season in the MJAHL with his hometown team the Yarmouth Mariners, as he became their all-time leader in Points, Assists and Games Played. During his time with the Mariners, Matt was named in the Rookie All-Star team in 2016, crowned an MJAHL Champion in 2019 as well as the Playoffs MVP, before captaining the team in the 2019-20 season where he was named in the All-Star First Team.
