Morley Glass Commit To Five Year Partnership Extension

The Leeds Knights are delighted to announce a renewed partnership with Morley Glass, marking the longest sponsorship agreement in the history of the National Ice Hockey League. 

The agreement will see Morley Glass continue as the headline partner of the Leeds Knights for a further five years, cementing a ten-year commitment between two organisations with deep roots in the Leeds community.  

Steve Nell, Managing Director of the Leeds Knights, said: “This is a truly historic moment for the Leeds Knights. To agree the longest partnership deal in National Ice Hockey League history is a huge statement of intent and demonstrates the belief that Morley Glass has in what we're building here in Leeds. Morley Glass are an outstanding local business with a fantastic reputation, and we are incredibly proud to have them with us for the long term.” 

Ian Short, owner of Morley Glass, said: “We are delighted to enter into this landmark partnership with the Leeds Knights. The Knights represent everything we value; ambition, teamwork, determination and a strong connection with the local community. We wanted to make a long-term commitment because we believe in the direction the club is heading and the opportunities that exist around it. We are incredibly excited about the journey ahead and proud to be part of the Knights family.” 

Over the past five years, the impact of the Morley Glass' partnership has been felt both on and off the ice. With Morley Glass’ support, the Leeds Knights have won six trophies, including three league titles, two play-off championships and one National Cup. The partnership has extended into the community too. Through Morley Glass, the Leeds Knights and their supporters have backed various charities - including Yorkshire Children’s Charity - with Easter Egg and Christmas selection box donations. The charity also featured on the front of a special Knights jersey last season. Morley Glass' commitment has also extended to individual players, with Finn Bradon sponsored by Morley Glass and Kieran Brown backed by Uni-Blinds.
